Job summary

Weis Markets is seeking a friendly, team-oriented associate to support customers and store operations. The role emphasizes respect, appreciation, and community focus at the Memorial Highway location.

You will greet customers, help with checkouts, ensure accurate charges, and follow safety and health guidelines to maintain a clean, compliant store environment. No prior experience is required; a high school diploma or GED is preferred.

Qualifications

• Completed or working towards a High School Diploma or GED.
• No prior experience required.

Responsibilities

• Greets customers, answers questions, and resolves concerns in a polite, professional manner.
• Follows check out policies to increase customer satisfaction.
• Identifies and processes customer orders accurately and timely.
• Operates front end scanner and register, bags merchandise efficiently.
• Contacts customers by phone to address questions or concerns.
• Maintains knowledge of weekly ads, promotions, and store layout to assist customers.
• Ensures accurate transactions, collecting appropriate funds and applying coupons.
• Follows security measures and cash drawer procedures to avoid discrepancies.
• Complies with tobacco and alcohol sale guidelines.
• Maintains sanitation and cleanliness in the department, and follows health/OSHA requirements.
• Disposes of trash properly and cooperates with team members.
• Supports other departments as needed and adheres to PPE usage.
