• No prior experience required.

Responsibilities

• Greets customers, answers questions, and helps resolve concerns promptly in a polite and professional manner.
• Operates front-end scanning equipment and cash register; bags merchandise and places items in the cart.
• Maintains transaction accuracy and ensures correct charges with cash, checks, electronic payments, and coupons; follows security and cash drawer procedures.
• Follows store policies regarding tobacco and alcohol sales.
• Keeps knowledge of weekly ads and promotions to answer customer questions.
• Maintains department sanitation; follows cleaning schedules; ensures health and OSHA compliance; disposes of trash properly.
• Uses provided PPE (gloves, cutters, footwear) as required.
• May assist in other departments as needed.
