Job summary

Responsibilities

• Greets customers and answers questions; helps resolve concerns in a polite manner.
• Operates front-end scanning equipment and cash register.
• Bagging merchandise and placing items in customers' cart; ensures proper checkout procedures.
• Maintains accuracy during transactions with cash, checks, electronic payments, and coupons.
• Maintains cash drawer security and follows guidelines for tobacco/alcohol sales.
• Keeps knowledge of weekly ads, promotions, and store layout to assist customers.
• Maintains department sanitation and adheres to health and OSHA requirements.
• Cooperates with coworkers and supervisors to ensure smooth department/store operation.
• Performs other duties as assigned or in other departments as needed.
