Job summary

Weis Markets is seeking a Customer Experience Associate to greet customers, operate the front-end checkout, and help maintain store appearance and organization. You will assist customers with questions, ring up purchases, bag items, and handle payments accurately.

The role requires following PPE guidelines and store policies, with a focus on courtesy, efficiency, and compliance with health and safety standards. No prior experience is required; a high school diploma or GED is acceptable.

Qualifications

• Education and/or experience completed or working towards a High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Smiles and greets customers, answers questions and helps resolve concerns promptly.
• Operates front-end scanning equipment and cash register, bagging merchandise and placing items in carts.
• Maintains accuracy during transactions, ensuring correct charges and cash handling.
• Keeps knowledge of weekly ads, promotions and store layout to assist customers.
• Maintains sanitation and follows health and OSHA guidelines in the department.
• Cooperates with coworkers and supervisors to ensure smooth department and store function.
• Uses PPE, including cut-resistant gloves and safety footwear as required.
• May assist in other departments as needed.
