• No prior experience required.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and answer questions in a polite, professional manner.
• Operate front-end scanning equipment and cash register, and perform checkout procedures.
• Ensure accurate transactions and collect payments including cash, checks and electronic payments; follow security measures.
• Follow guidelines regarding sale of tobacco and alcohol.
• Maintain knowledge of weekly ads and store layout to answer questions.
• Maintain sanitation and health standards in the department; follow cleaning schedules.
• Cooperate with coworkers and supervisors to ensure smooth department and store operations.
• Use PPE provided and follow safety requirements.
• Assist in other departments as needed.
