Job summary

Responsibilities include processing transactions efficiently, adhering to cash controls, staying informed about promotions, and assisting with product questions across departments. Part-time, in-store role with potential growth and benefits.

Qualifications

• Ability to handle stressful situations.
• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, subtraction).
• Prior experience as a Bagger or Courtesy Clerk.

Responsibilities

• Greet, engage, and assist customers.
• Process customer transactions through the check lane quickly, accurately, and efficiently.
• Understand the POS system and handle tenders (cash, checks, credit, SNAP, EBT, WIC, rain checks, coupons) per policy.
• Adhere to cash handling limits and prevent loss.
• Follow guidelines for restricted items (alcohol, tobacco, DVDs).
• Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator.
• Follow policies for stamps, gift cards, and coupons.
• Stay current with ads and promotions.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and safety procedures.
• Promote safety and report hazards to management.
• Perform equipment inspections and notify needs for repair.
• Create a welcoming environment and answer questions about products.
