Job summary

Kroger Co. is seeking a Cashier/Checker to deliver outstanding customer service at the lane in St. George, UT.

You will greet customers, handle transactions, and operate the POS while following company policy and safety standards. Prior experience as a Bagger or Courtesy Clerk is appreciated, and basic math skills are required. This role requires adherence to sale restrictions, accurate handling of tender types, and a focus on loss prevention.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction).
• Excellent customer service and communication skills are needed.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and assist customers.

Responsibilities

• Greet, engage and assist customers at the check lane.
• Process customer transactions quickly, accurately and efficiently.
• Understand and use the POS system and handle tender types per policy.
• Adhere to cash handling limits, loss prevention guidelines and restricted-sale policies.
• Follow policies for stamps, gift cards, and coupons, and stay aware of ads.
• Maintain food safety procedures and report hazards to management.
• Create a welcoming environment and accurately answer product questions.
