Job summary

Albertsons Companies Inc. is seeking a Front-End Team Member to help deliver a smooth checkout experience for customers.

You’ll be the final touchpoint at the register, scanning items, bagging groceries, and answering questions to ensure every visit ends on a positive note. You’ll also keep the front end organized, rotate between tasks such as processing transactions, restocking, collecting carts, and maintaining the checkout area.

Qualifications

• Must be 16+ (or 18+ depending on local/state requirements).
• Completion of company cashier/front-end training upon hire.
• Basic math and communication skills required.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Prior customer service experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide smooth checkout experience by scanning items, processing payments, bagging groceries and answering customer questions.
• Keep the front end organized and running, rotate between tasks like handling transactions, collecting carts, restocking, and maintaining the checkout area.
• Follow store procedures and policies to ensure accurate transactions and excellent customer service.
• Communicate clearly and patiently with customers in a fast-paced environment.
• Support other front-end activities as needed to ensure a positive shopping experience.
