FRONT END/CASHIER WITH TELLER RESPONSIBILITIES

Job Description: Assist customers and process sales. Demonstrate the company’s core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver and encourage other associates to deliver excellent customer service
• Perform cashier functions, including opening/closing register, ringing sales, completing tender transactions, bagging merchandise, making money drops, and knowing produce codes
• Maintain cleanliness of checkstand area
• Answer telephones
• Comply with all corporate policies
• Promote and follow company initiatives
• Verify and deactivate Electronic Article Surveillance Tags at sale

Store Accounting:

• Maintain store accounting functions
• Prepare bank deposits of excess funds

Customer Service Desk:

• Open and close the desk
• Process refunds, exchanges, money orders, transfers, bill pay, gift cards, purchase orders, rentals
• Provide lottery services (excluding Alaska) and fish & game licenses
• Send/receive faxes
• Manage lost and found
• Run vendor reports

Qualifications:

Minimum:

• High school diploma or GED, or relevant experience
• Six months cashier experience
• At least 18 years old (19 in some states)
• Pass drug test
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, weekends, and overtime
• Organizational and attention to detail skills

Desired:

• Knowledge of company policies
• Retail experience
