Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Six months cashier experience.
• Must be at least 18 years old (19 where required by state).
• Ability to pass drug test.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work weekends, shifts, and overtime as needed.
• Knowledge of company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and encourage others to deliver excellent customer service.
• Perform cashier functions: open/close register, ring sales, process tender transactions, bag merchandise.
• Maintain cleanliness of the checkstand area.
• Answer telephone calls and assist customers.
• Process refunds, exchanges, money orders, transfers, and gift cards.
• Provide lottery service and issue licenses where applicable.
• Handle faxes and documentation; manage lost and found.
• Verify EAS tags are deactivated or removed at sale, and respond to activations.
