Job summary

The Front End Associate at The Restaurant Store plays a key role in delivering excellent customer service at our retail location. You will assist customers at the front of the store, handle cashier duties, and support returns, memberships, and inquiries to ensure a smooth checkout process.

Collaborating with branch leadership, you will support sales, order fulfillment, merchandising and inventory goals while maintaining organized front-end areas and a positive store environment.

Qualifications

• 1 year of retail experience or supply chain experience required.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with CRM systems and project management tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to explain complex concepts clearly.

Responsibilities

• Deliver friendly, efficient front-end customer service and ensure a smooth checkout experience.
• Consistently achieve high levels of point-of-sale transactions daily.
• Assist customers with accurate register transactions, cash handling, and membership verification; load purchases into vehicles.
• Process returns and restock items as needed.
• Expedite customer flow through checkout lanes to minimize wait times.
• Answer incoming phone inquiries or direct them as needed.
• Guide customers about store policies, memberships, pricing, and general inquiries.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of checkout lanes, registers, carts, and front-end area.
• Refill impulse products at the front end to support sales.
• Perform additional tasks and support initiatives as assigned by management.
