Qualifications

• No prior retail experience required.
• Strong basic math skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Checks out customer groceries efficiently and accurately.
• Upholds regulations concerning sale of alcohol and taxation.
• Follows proper check, ATM, and credit procedures.
• Cleans and stocks Front End areas, including own register.
• Follows cash handling procedures and cashier variance policy.
• May assist with training of new Cashier Team Members.
• Assist supervisor in managing customer flow and reduce waiting time.
• Provide excellent customer service and use suggestive selling techniques.
• Maximize sales through proper prep, storage, stocking, and merchandising.
• Follow procedures including Weights and Measures, health and sanitation, and safe work practices.
• Maintain a clean environment; perform opening/closing duties.
• Report safety hazards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
