Responsibilities

• Checks out groceries efficiently and accurately.
• Upholds regulations concerning sale of alcoholic beverages and taxation.
• Follows proper cash, ATM, and credit procedures.
• Uses tare procedures for scalable items.
• Cleans and stocks Front End areas and registers as needed.
• Follows cash handling procedures per policy.
• May assist training of new Cashier staff.
• Assists supervisor in managing customer flow and reducing wait times.
• Participates in company programs as directed by leadership.
• Arrives on time, groomed, dressed and ready to work; attends trainings.
• Provides excellent customer service and uses suggestive selling; answers phones promptly.
• Maximizes sales through proper prep, storage, rotation and merchandising.
• Follows procedures including Weights and Measures, health and sanitation.
• Maintains a clean, safe environment and equipment.
• Performs opening/mid/closing duties; checks pricing accuracy.
• Immediately reports safety hazards and violations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
