Food Lion is seeking a Front End Associate in Beaufort, SC to deliver fast, friendly service and accurate transactions. You will greet customers, bag groceries, and maintain a clean front end while supporting store standards. This role emphasizes teamwork, reliability, and a positive shopping experience for every guest.

Responsibilities include handling cash, assisting customers, and following Food Lion procedures to ensure smooth, courteous service. Training provided.

Competenze

• Effective communication and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements.
• Ability to perform cashier and service center tasks.
• Must meet minimum age requirements for specific functions.

• Smile and provide prompt, accurate and friendly service while engaging customers to create a positive shopping experience.
• Greet each customer and use his or her name whenever possible.
• Unload customers' groceries from cart to belt and group items for bagging.
• Check the bottom of every cart and under baby seats for items before completing an order.
• Follow correct bagging procedures for bag usage by type.
• Scan customers' order and handle the payment transaction, per standard practice.
• Follow procedures for refunds and error correction.
• Maintain accurate cash control and perform overrides as needed.
• Identify customers needing assistance and offer to take orders to their car.
• Maintain alertness and call for assistance to service customers per standards.
• Check prices quickly and accurately.
• Wear Food Lion uniform with apron and name badge; present neat appearance.
• Retrieve shopping carts from parking lot and cart corrals.
• Ensure front end area is neat and clean.
• Report register malfunctions and ensure MVP savings center kiosk is functional.
