Job summary

Food Lion is seeking a Customer Service Associate to deliver fast, friendly service at our Rockwell, NC store. You will greet customers, scan items, bag groceries and assist with cash handling while upholding Food Lion standards.

This role emphasizes accuracy, courtesy, and teamwork to maintain a neat front-end area, manage the MVP savings kiosk, and help customers with questions and purchases throughout shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Effective communication and customer service skills.
• Willingness to learn multiple tasks and cashier duties.
• Must meet minimum age requirements and physical requirements.

Responsibilities

• Smile and provide prompt, accurate and friendly service while engaging customers to create a positive shopping experience.
• Greet each customer and use the customer's name whenever possible.
• Unload groceries from cart to belt and group items for efficient bagging.
• Follow bagging procedures for proper use of bags by type.
• Scan items and handle payment transactions per standard practice.
• Maintain a neat and clean front-end area and assist customers as needed.
