Food Lion in Hanover, MD is hiring for a Front End Clerk to provide fast, friendly service at the checkout and front end. You will greet customers, assist with bagging, process transactions, and keep the front end clean and orderly.

Ideal candidates are high school graduates with strong communication skills, the ability to learn multiple tasks, and comfort using cash registers. Physical requirements include standing long hours and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Formación

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Effective communication and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Ability to perform the technical requirements of cashier and service center.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.

Responsabilidades

• Smile and provide prompt, accurate and friendly service while engaging customers to create a positive shopping experience.
• Greet each customer and use their name whenever possible.
• Unload groceries from cart to belt and group items for bagging.
• Scan orders and handle payment transactions per standard practice.
• Follow cash handling procedures and overrides as needed.
• Maintain a neat and clean front end and comply with dress code.
