Job summary

The Winn-Dixie Company is seeking a friendly cashier in Florida to provide fast, accurate checkout service for customers. You will scan items, bag purchases, and handle payments with care while maintaining a welcoming store environment.

You will also assist in training new cashiers and help ensure front-end operations run smoothly, including cash handling, basic POS use, and adherence to safety procedures in a high-volume grocery setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 18 years of age or older.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced grocery environment.
• Basic computer skills and willingness to participate in online training.
• Compliance with company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers, scan items, bag groceries and handle payments accurately.
• Resolve customer issues promptly and professionally.
• Stock front end areas and assist with training new cashiers.
• Operate POS and process cash, checks, cards and other tender types.
• Adhere to safety, food handling and loss-prevention guidelines.
