Job summary

ShopRite of Hatfield is seeking a front-end associate to deliver a great customer experience, accurately scanning, pricing, and bagging products while handling payments. The role requires standing for shifts and ability to lift up to 50 lbs; you will interact with customers and help maintain store standards.

The position supports a safe and efficient operation, with responsibilities including greeting customers, assisting with Wakefern program eligibility, and ensuring accurate cash handling in

Qualifications

• Ability to proficiently read, write, speak, analyze, interpret, and understand the English language.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Ability to stand/walk for the duration of a scheduled shift.
• Ability to regularly lift 25 lbs., and occasionally 50 lbs.
• Ability to interact with Customers in a friendly and helpful way.
• Ability to adhere to safety requirements and QA standards.

Responsibilities

• Greet Customers and provide prompt, courteous service and assistance.
• Enter customer information into database for eligibility in Wakefern programs.
• Sort and return items to stock with priority to refrigerated/perishable items.
• Perform price checks and handle payments per company procedures.
• Process all forms of payments (cash, credit, checks, EBT, etc.).
• Maintain cash integrity and monitor tills; ensure proper cash handling.
