ShopRite of Williamstown in New Jersey is hiring a Cashier to deliver a great customer experience with accurate, friendly, and efficient checkout service. You will scan, price, bag products and process payments while assisting customers and maintaining store safety and cleanliness.

The role requires standing for long shifts, ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally, and strong English communication. Training emphasizes shop priorities: safety, friendliness, presentation, and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Proficient reading, writing, speaking English.
• Basic math ability.
• Stand/walk for scheduled shifts.
• Lift up to 25 lbs. regularly, up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
• Work with fresh, dried and/or processed products without allergic issues.
• Tolerate dust and cleaning agents during housekeeping duties.
• Work in varying temperatures.
• Interact with customers in a friendly and helpful way.
• Work cooperatively with others.
• Adhere to time and attendance policies.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, neat, organized and safe work environment.
• Clean and sanitize surfaces and equipment per QA standards.
• Keep floor clear of debris and spills.
• Follow cash handling procedures and operate the register.
• Identify and scan products and process payments accurately.
• Bag orders safely and efficiently.
• Promote current promotions and assist customers as needed.
• Adhere to safety, presentation and efficiency priorities.
