Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Greet, engage, and assist customers.
• Process customer transactions through the check lane quickly, accurately, and efficiently.
• Understand the POS system and handle tenders (cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, rain checks, loyalty offers, coupons) per policy.
• Maintain compliance with cash handling limits and loss prevention guidelines.
• Follow guidelines on restricted sale items (e.g., alcohol, tobacco, DVDs).
• Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator.
• Adhere to policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons.
• Stay current with ads and promotions.
• Follow food safety regulations and guidelines.
• Support safety programs and report unsafe conditions to management.
• Inspect equipment and report maintenance needs.
• Create an inviting environment by answering product questions.
• Adhere to all laws and company policies.
• Work cooperatively in a fast-paced environment and manage conflicts professionally.
• Maintain honesty and integrity with customer and business information.
• Follow directions and seek assistance to resolve issues.
• Provide assistance to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
