• We are hiring immediately for a full-time CASHIER/FOOD SERVICE WORKER position.
• Location: Good Samaritan Hospital - 310 South Limestone, Lexington, KY 40508. Note: online applications accepted only.
• Schedule: Full-time. Days may vary, 7:00 am - 3:30 pm or 8:00 am - 4:30 pm. More details upon interview.
• Requirement: Food service experience preferred.
• Pay Range: $16.50 to $16.75 per hour.

Job Summary

Summary: Operates Point of Sale system, assists the Chef, prepares coffee, and maintains cleanliness of coffee and cashier stations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing foods such as meats, vegetables, baked goods, and desserts; help with catering orders.
• Perform cashier duties using the POS system.
• Perform general cleaning, remove trash to designated areas.
• Provide service in retail areas, including cashiering and line serving.
• Handle cashiering accurately, maintain cash accuracy, and make deposits at shift end.
• Inventory and restock supplies and food products.
• Set up serving line, monitor food temperatures, and notify cooks if issues arise.
• Serve hot and cold items to customers.
• Prepare items for purchase daily.
• Stock and rotate refrigerator products using FIFO.
• Maintain pantry stock levels, record replenishments, and monitor refrigerator temperatures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
