Albertsons Companies Inc. is hiring a Front-End Team Member for Safeway in Arnold, MD. You will ensure a smooth checkout experience for customers, handle transactions, and assist with bagging and question resolution.

You will also keep the front end organized and participate in restocking and area upkeep throughout the shift. You will work in a fast-paced environment, requiring friendly communication, accuracy, and adaptability to changing customer flows.

Qualifications

• Must be 16+ (or 18+ per state rules)
• Completion of cashier/front-end training on hire
• Basic math and communication skills required
• Flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Prior customer service experience preferred but not required
• Stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed

Responsibilities

• Create a smooth checkout experience with accurate scanning and efficient service
• Handle transactions and assist customers with questions or needs
• Keep the front end organized, restock, bag groceries, and maintain checkout area
• Assist with cart retrieval and general front-end upkeep
