Heinen’s Grocery Store in Willoughby, OH is hiring a Retail Professional to uphold the Diamond Difference Standards. You’ll greet customers, operate scanners and cash registers, and help ensure accurate pricing and packaging while maintaining a clean, organized department.

The role requires strong written and verbal communication, a sense of urgency, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Weekend/evening shifts are required, with a focus on customer service and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Possess a sense of urgency and the ability to work independently to achieve daily tasks.
• Comply with all company policies and standards.
• Be production driven with the ability to work continuously on repetitive tasks, while standing.
• Must be willing to work non-traditional five-day schedule including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Operate scanners, scales, cash registers and other electronics.
• Accept payments, ensuring prices and quantities are accurate.
• Follow store procedures regarding coupons, gift cards or purchase of specific items (e.g., alcohol).
• Follow company standards for proper packing.
• Acquire and share knowledge of the store.
• Prioritize daily work based on varying business needs.
• Attend required corporate meetings and training classes.
• Comply with all personal and food safety company standards.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
