Job summary

BlueGreen Alliance Inc in Vineland, NJ is seeking a Door Guard/Greeter to welcome customers, direct them to the proper area, and help ensure a smooth shopping experience. Responsibilities include bag checks, preventing opened food or drinks, monitoring for suspicious activity, guiding customers to departments, and reporting issues to Loss Prevention or Store Management.

The role requires standing on the sales floor for 8 hours and lifting 25 lbs, with nights, weekends, and rotating shifts

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of retail or loss prevention experience preferred.
• Must be able to stand and walk the sales floor for 8 hours.
• Must lift and carry at least 25 lbs.
• Must be available to work nights, weekends, and rotating shifts.
• Must communicate clearly both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Direct customers to the proper department within the store when asked.
• Greet customers and ensure they are directed to the right area.
• Check bags and ensure no opened food or drinks enter the store.
• Observe for suspicious activity and notify Loss Prevention or store management as needed.
• Remain at the front end of the store as assigned and maintain professional conduct.
• Assist customers by directing them to departments and refer policy questions to the MOD.
