Job summary

River City Produce is seeking a full-time Sales & Customer Service Assistant to work with wholesale front dock customers and support the Chicho’s program. You will ensure orders are accurately collected, verified, and loaded onto delivery trucks within required timeframes, and manage order intake in Produce Pro.

The role requires exceptional customer service, ability to handle inquiries about delivery status and pricing, outbound calls, and support to the sales team.

Qualifications

• Provide exceptional customer service to River City Produce customers.
• Perform customer order collection and entry using Produce Pro.
• Distribute price lists and marketing materials as requested.
• Assist sales dept with misc. sales tasks.
• Perform outbound sales calls.
• Perform other related tasks as directed by supervisor.
• Must be able to sit for 6–9 hours daily; able to stand and move as required.
• Must be bilingual; strong English communication; Spanish preferred.

This position is part of the sales and customer service department and is responsible for working with all wholesale front dock customers as well as the overall responsibility of the Chicho’s program. The incumbent will and will ensure that all orders are properly selected, verified and loaded onto the delivery trucks within the specificed time requirements.er order intake and entry into the company software, Produce Pro. This position works within the sales department facilitating customer orders, addressing customer inquiries such as delivery status, product availability and general price information as well as providing support to the Produce Traders. Must be able to work weekends and holidays.

Requirements

• Provide exceptional customer service to all internal and external River City Produce customers
• Perform customer order collection and entry using company software (Produce Pro)
• Distributes customer price lists and other marketing materials as requested
• Provides assistance to the sales dept. on misc. sales functions
• Perform outbound sales calls
• Perform other related tasks, as requested by supervisor
• Must be able to sit for up to 6-9 hours daily to perform job duties
• Must be able to stoop, squat, bend and/or twist to perform various job functions
• Must be able to stand intermittently and occasionally climb up and down one flight of stairs as needed to get to conference room.
• Must be able to reach overhead, forward, back and down to perform various job functions

• Be aware of surroundings and location of resources and tools needed;
• Answer telephone switchboard
• Must be able to read computer monitors, invoices, posted notifications, etc. in order to perform various job functions
• Environmental conditions:
  • Must be able to work around noise and/or vibration generated by the truck and other equipment
  • Must be able to work around fumes, dust, gases and odors.
• Must be able to work in cold warehouse environments (33°- 56°F) as required by the job
• Must be alert and able to identify a hazard, should one occur, by reporting immediately or, if directed, by taking corrective measures
• 1-2 years prior experience in an office environment, prior customer experience preferred
• Ability to accurately and efficiently handle multiple tasks in a busy office environment
• Strong verbal communication skills in English required, Spanish preferred
• Working knowledge of Microsoft applications
• Working knowledge of keyboarding and basic computer applications to train on company software, Produce Pro
• Must be Bilingual
• Must be able to work weekends and holidays
