Job summary

Optical Outlets in Florida is seeking a patient service specialist to assist patients and support the Doctor and Office Manager, ensuring smooth patient flow and excellent service.

You will greet customers, verify insurance, check-in and pretest, answer phones, and assist with eyewear fitting, while upholding Right the First Time and high patient satisfaction.

Requirements

Job Specifications

Typically has the following skills or abilities:

• One to two years of experience in related field

• Effective written communication skills to clearly document patient visits


• Excellent interpersonal and rapport-building skills


• Ability to ask appropriate and relevant questions to identify patient needs


• Ability to listen, process transactions and interact with patients simultaneously in a fast-paced environment


• For roles that are remote (i.e., Work From Home (WFM)) or hybrid (i.e., partial onsite at a VSP location and WFM), must demonstrate a high level of engagement in virtual environments, including maintaining camera presence during meetings to support effective communication and team alignment
