Job summary

The University of Notre Dame Operations, Events, and Safety division at The Morris Inn on campus is recruiting a full-time Front Desk Supervisor. This working supervisor role balances guest-facing responsibilities with overseeing front desk operations, parking coordination, and staff training.

You will mentor Guest Service Associates, supervise VIP arrivals, and ensure seamless service across shifts, with opportunities to collaborate with the Operations Coordinator and other departments.

Qualifications

• Strong guest service and communication skills.
• Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 6 hours).
• Capable of multitasking during peak times.

Responsibilities

• Register guests and manage check-ins/outs.
• Monitor lobby and front drive flow for efficiency.
• Oversee parking/valet coordination during busy times.
• Train new Guest Service Associates.
• Provide feedback and coaching to staff.
• Update training checklists and SOPs.
• Prepare VIP arrivals with rooms and amenities.
• Serve as point of contact for VIPs when managers unavailable.
• Coordinate with other departments for special requests.
• Assist desk administrative tasks such as inventory and reporting.
