Job summary

The Pfister Hotel in downtown Milwaukee seeks a Front Desk Leader to uphold luxury standards and deliver exceptional guest experiences. You will supervise front desk operations, ensure seamless check-in/check-out, and coach associates to maintain gracious service.

Ideal candidates have prior front office leadership, strong customer service and communication, and the ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays.

• Previous front desk or hospitality leadership experience.
• Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work flexible evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Experience with hotel property management systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise front desk operations to ensure efficient check-in/check-out and guest services.
• Lead, train, and support front desk associates with coaching and guidance.
• Resolve guest concerns and service recovery promptly and professionally.
• Monitor daily operations including room assignments, shift coverage, cash handling, and policies.
• Collaborate with housekeeping, reservations, bell services, and other departments for seamless guest experience.

What you will be doing

• Supervise front desk operations to ensure efficient check-in, check-out, guest services, and adherence to luxury hospitality standards.

• Lead, train, and support front desk associates, providing ongoing coaching, performance feedback, and operational guidance.

• Resolve guest concerns and service recovery situations promptly and professionally, maintaining high levels of guest satisfaction.

• Monitor daily operations, including room assignments, shift coverage, cash handling, and compliance with hotel policies and procedures.

• Collaborate with housekeeping, reservations, bell services, and other departments to ensure seamless communication and an outstanding guest experience.

Position Requirements

• Previous hotel front office or hospitality leadership experience.

• Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

• Experience with hotel property management systems preferred.
