Job summary

The Inn at Rancho Santa Fe is seeking a Front Desk Supervisor who will guide a guest-centric team to deliver exceptional service from check-in to checkout.

You will lead staff, handle reservations and VIP requests, maintain smooth operations, and contribute to revenue strategy while upholding safety and standards in a luxury setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework helpful.
• 2–3 years of progressive hotel or related experience requested.
• Previous supervisory experience preferred; valid driver’s license may be required.
• Certification requirements may include Food Handlers, Alcohol Awareness, CPR, and First Aid.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and manage smooth check-ins/outs; handle reservations and VIP requests.
• Lead the team, train new associates, and resolve guest concerns with professionalism.
• Monitor logs, track messages and packages to ensure timely, error-free service.
• Monitor rates, packages, and promotions to boost revenue while maintaining value.

KEY SKILLS/RESPONSIBILITIES

• Guest Experience Pro: Greet guests with genuine warmth and keep check-ins and check-outs smooth and stress-free. You’re the go‑to for reservations, VIP requests, and making every guest feel like a star.
• Operations Maestro: Keep things running like clockwork by tracking logs, managing messages and packages, and making sure every detail is handled with professionalism and speed.
• Revenue & Rate Strategist: Stay sharp on rates, packages, and promotions, helping boost room revenue while keeping guests happy with great value.
• Team Leader & Problem Solver: Build a strong, communicative team, train new associates, and tackle guest concerns or workplace hiccups with confidence and creativity—all while keeping safety and standards front and center.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• High School diploma or equivalent required; college coursework in a related field helpful.
• At least 2 to 3 years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field required.
• Previous supervisory experience preferred.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Compliance with certification requirements may include Food Handlers, Alcohol Awareness, CPR, and First Aid.
