Job summary

Hotel Paseo, Autograph Collection, part of Marcus Hotels & Resorts, seeks a Front Desk Supervisor in Palm Desert to lead front desk and bell staff and ensure exceptional guest experiences. You will greet guests, oversee check-ins/outs, and manage requests with poise in a boutique desert setting.

Ideal candidates bring supervisory hotel front desk or guest service experience, strong English communication, and a customer-focused mindset.

We are seeking a Front Desk Supervisor who will be responsible for supervising front desk staff as well as greeting our guests and ensuring they have an exceptional experience. Part of the Milwaukee-based Marcus Hotels & Resorts portfolio, HOTEL PASEO offers guests a distinctive desert retreat featuring 150 thoughtfully designed guest rooms and suites, many showcasing breathtaking views of the San Jacinto Mountains and palm-lined landscape. Guests can unwind by our resort-style pool and on-site spa, explore the area on complimentary bicycles, and enjoy inspired dining at Larkspur Grill, Lemon Drop Pool Bar or Café Paseo. What will you be doing?

• Supervise front desk staff, reservations, and bell staff as needed, ensuring all daily functions from checklist are completed.
• Greet and welcome guests as they arrive at the hotel.
• Check guests in and out of rooms.
• Input and retrieve information routinely from computer system to communicate guest requests. Make appropriate selection of rooms based on guests' needs.
• Effectively deal with internal and external customers, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact, and diplomacy to defuse anger, collect accurate information and resolve conflicts.
• Respond to guest requests and questions regarding area or hotel, outlet information and services as well as handle guest issues and report complaints to management.
• Maintain cash handling accuracy including responsibility for House Bank.
• Other duties as assigned.

What do you bring to the role?

• Previous supervisory, hotel, front desk, customer or guest service experience preferred.
• Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the front office for extended periods.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and communicating effectively in English.
• Capability to accurately input and manage information using a computer system.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
• Visual and auditory awareness to detect emergencies.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
