Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer for a commercial building in Los Angeles, CA. You will provide a welcoming, professional presence for tenants, visitors, and vendors, manage access, monitor security systems, and respond to incidents with calm, solution-focused judgment.

The role is full-time with daytime to evening shifts. A valid guard card or license is preferred, and a high school diploma is required.

Qualifications

At least six months of security-related experience.
Customer service experience preferred.
Guard card or license preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Subject to background check as required by law.
Drug screen required as a condition of employment.
Licensing requirements depend on state/local laws.
Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or vendors at a commercial real estate location by following site procedures and security policies.
Staff the front desk, greet and screen visitors, verify IDs, issue credentials, and maintain visitor logs.
Monitor access points, cameras, alarms, and building systems; report unusual activity.
Respond to incidents and emergencies following established procedures.
Answer and route calls, provide directions, and maintain shift records.
