Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Desk Communications in Dayton, NJ. You will greet visitors, verify access, monitor entry activity, and provide exceptional customer service at the front desk within a logistics/distribution site.

Responsibilities include using computer systems to support a secure environment, documenting incidents, and coordinating with site personnel and leadership. This is a full-time role with a pay rate of $16.50 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Subject to background check in accordance with laws.
• Subject to a drug screen where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply per state/local laws.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Greet visitors and employees at the front desk and verify access per site policies.
• Monitor facility access, maintain logs, issue/collect credentials, report concerns.
• Operate security systems (cameras, alarms, access control) from a stationary post.
• Respond calmly to incidents and emergencies following procedures.
• Maintain accurate records and communicate professionally with staff and leadership.
