Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Security Officer with DoD Secret clearance for a front desk coordination role at our Salt Lake City location. You will greet visitors, control access, and monitor entry while supporting an aerospace/defense environment.

The position offers flexible weekend scheduling and the chance to gain hands-on security experience in a dynamic team setting with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of security-related experience.
• Active DoD Secret clearance required.
• Age 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to background investigation per federal, state and local laws.
• Background permissible with criminal histories per applicable laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local law.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and guests at a front desk within an aerospace and defense location by following site-specific procedures and access protocols.
• Monitor entry activity, verify visitor credentials and authorization, issue visitor badges as directed, and maintain accurate visitor and access records.
• Receive and direct phone calls, deliveries, and inquiries in a professional manner while maintaining awareness of security-related concerns at the reception area.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Support a professional, orderly reception environment and help to deter unauthorized access by reporting unusual activity and following Allied Universal and site-specific policies.
