Job summary

Allied Universal in Layton, UT is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer with an active DoD Secret clearance. You will patrol aerospace and defense facilities, deter incidents, and support access control while delivering outstanding customer service.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, and candidates should be comfortable using computers or tablets. Applicants will undergo a background check and drug screen as part of employment.

Qualifications

• Active Department of Defense Secret clearance is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of aerospace and defense facilities, buildings, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as directed, and report unauthorized activity or irregular conditions.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities accurately, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and emergency responders.
