Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Part Time Reception Emergency Preparedness Security Officer in Washington, DC. You will serve as a welcoming front desk presence, manage access control, assist visitors, and respond to security concerns with discretion.

The role offers part-time hours with a flexible schedule and pay rate of $24.44 per hour, plus benefits. CPR/First Aid qualifications and a high school diploma are preferred; background checks and drug screening apply where permitted by law.

Qualifications

• CPR certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification are preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• A drug screen may be required as permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state/local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access at the front desk, greet and direct visitors, verify credentials, and maintain visitor records in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate personnel as needed.
