Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Reception Operations in Charlotte, NC, to greet visitors, monitor access, and support a professional environment at a financial institution.

The role requires security-related experience and a valid guard credential where applicable, with a pay rate of $24.16 per hour. The schedule includes daytime and weekend shifts, with a focus on safety and customer service at the front desk.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or a college degree.
• Concealed carry weapons permit.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and clients at the front desk of a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Greet and direct visitors, verify identification and appointments, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate visitor and access records in accordance with site procedures.
• Monitor access points, reception-area activity, alarm notifications, and surveillance systems as assigned, reporting unusual activity or access concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency and escalation procedures.
• Assist with maintaining a professional, welcoming front-desk environment while helping to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
