Allied Universal in New Albany, OH is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Reception Operations to staff a professional front desk, support access control, visitor management, and security communications. The role requires at least two years of security experience, ability to type 40 wpm, and a high school diploma.

Qualifications

• Two years of security-related experience.
• Type a minimum of 40 words per minute.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Monitor access to the facility, greet visitors, verify credentials, and maintain visitor logs in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Answer phones, provide directions and information, and communicate security-related concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain a professional front-desk presence and assist with reporting unusual activity and/or incidents.
