Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Reception Credential Desk in Glendale, CA. You will staff the front desk, assist visitors and employees, and monitor access control while providing a professional presence at a premier commercial location.

Position type is Full Time with a pay rate of $19.00 per hour. The role requires at least 1 year of security experience and a HS diploma, with background checks and drug screening as required by law.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of security-related experience required.
• Experience with alarm panels preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Experience with access control and badge systems preferred.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check as per laws; will consider applicants with criminal histories.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements subject to state/local laws and may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Staff the front desk, greet and direct visitors, maintain visitor logs, and support access-control procedures in accordance with site requirements.
• Monitor entry activity, respond to inquiries, and communicate relevant information to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
