Join to apply for the Front Desk Receptionist role at Parker Water & Sanitation District

This full-time, non-exempt position is responsible for front desk reception operations, serving as the primary in-person interface with customers. Responsibilities include welcoming, assisting, and directing visitors, managing mail and deliveries across several district facilities, performing clerical duties, and other tasks as assigned by the Customer Relations Manager. All duties should align with the district's vision, mission, and values.

Supervision: Reports directly to the Customer Relations Manager.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Greet, welcome, and direct visitors, customers, and employees professionally.
  2. Provide information about district services, projects, and activities to visitors.
  3. Notify staff of visitors or meetings.
  4. Communicate with staff via phone, text, or Microsoft Teams.
  5. Accept and organize deliveries, packages, and mail for timely distribution and pickup.
  6. Manage remote gate entry inquiries for district facilities.
  7. Assist with meetings, trainings, tours, and facility rental requests.
  8. Support builders with permit card sign-offs for meter requirements.
  9. Handle call overflow for Customer Care when needed.
  10. Maintain safety and hygiene standards at the reception area.
  11. Monitor visitor logs and issue visitor badges for security.
  12. Oversee security video for parking lot hazards and report concerns.
  13. Perform clerical tasks such as filing, scanning, and mailing communications.
  14. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience
  • High School diploma required.
  • Customer service experience preferred.
  • Must have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record per district policy.
Working Conditions and Physical Activities
  • Monday to Friday, 7:30 am – 4:30 pm, 40 hours weekly.
  • Standard office environment with interruptions; mostly sedentary work.
  • Visual, speech, and hearing requirements for communication and information processing.
  • Light physical effort, handling objects up to 15 pounds occasionally.
