Job summary

Family Care Center's Georgetown Clinic seeks a Patient Service Representative to greet patients, manage intake, and handle clerical tasks in a supportive, patient-focused environment. You will schedule appointments, verify insurance, collect co-pays, maintain accurate records in the EHR, and assist staff while upholding our 5-Star care standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum of 1 year of customer service experience.
• 1 year of medical front desk receptionist or administrative experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcomes patients and directs questions to staff, checks patients in/out per 5-Star standard.
• Schedules, reschedules and cancels appointments to align with provider availability.
• Verifies insurance coverage and collects co-pays / payments; reconciles cash receipts.
• Maintains accurate patient records and documents in the EHR system.
• Works with the Clinic Administrator on supply orders and reception area upkeep.
• Handles patient voicemails and portal messages; assists with portal setup.
