Job summary

Select Medical in Owensboro, KY seeks a Patient Service Specialist to greet patients, register them, and guide their visit at the front desk. You will schedule appointments, handle co-pays, verify insurance, and liaise with attorneys, insurers and the care team to keep operations running smoothly.

This full-time role starts at $16/hour, with mentorship and benefits for 32+ hours/week. Join our outpatient center and contribute to a positive patient experience from arrival to checkout.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• At least 1 year of front desk experience.
• Experience with insurance verification.
• At least 1 year of medical office experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients and provide information about what to expect during their visit and information about their next appointment as they check out
• Schedule patient appointments in person and via phone
• Regular communication with parties such as attorney offices, insurance companies and translation companies, market operational leaders and business development team
• Collect co-pays from patients, manage payer approvals and conduct insurance authorizations and verifications
