Qualifications

• Minimum 2-3 years of front desk experience in a medical office/clinic.
• Prior dermatology or cosmetic experience is preferred.
• Knowledgeable of CPT, ICD-10 medical terminology.
• Quality written and verbal communication skills.
• Quality mathematics skills.
• Professional in appearance and mannerisms.
• Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to demonstrate compassion and caring when dealing with others.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones, greet patients, schedule all appointments, and forward non-routine requests.
• Prepare necessary patient paperwork before the appointment and review EMA for updates.
• Update patient information in EMA and verify payer sources and insurance eligibility.
• Verify prior authorizations when required and record/collect copays and balances at check-in/out.
• Other duties as assigned.
