Founded in 1987, the Iyengar Yoga Association of Greater New York (IYAGNY) is a vibrant and thriving non-profit educational organization. The Association serves more than 1,100 Members throughout our three-state region of New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. The Association offers more than 85 daily classes per week including four free classes and also offers special educational opportunities through workshops, special series and events.
The Association’s Mission is threefold:
• To inspire and enable progressive lifelong learning and practice in the art, science, and philosophy of Iyengar Yoga
• To develop, nurture, and offer teaching of the highest standards
• To build and support a community of practitioners within the three-state region of our charter
The Association has recently moved back to its former location at 150 W 22nd street and is looking to rebuild and strengthen its vibrant community even more in 2025 and beyond and the Operations Associates will be integral to these plans. This is an important hire for the organization and is a tremendous opportunity for impacting the lives of more than 2000 individuals who take class with us every month. We look forward to building on the work done in the last 35+ years to make IYAGNY a well known and trusted resource supporting the health and wellbeing of thousands of individuals in the Tri-state area and beyond.
Position Summary
The Front Desk Operations Supervisor is a great role for an enthusiastic Iyengar Yoga student who is looking to further their Iyengar Yoga studies while supporting a non-profit through customer service and administrative acumen. A wonderful opportunity for someone who enjoys building community, cultivating a team, and playing an active role in supporting an organization that improves the lives of others.
Job Title: Front Desk Operations Supervisor
Rate: $20 / hour + 2 complimentary classes / week
Status: Standard 30 hours / week 5 days/week + Ad hoc shift coverage.
Schedule: Standard Thursday - Monday
Reports To: Operations Manager

Front Desk Job Responsibilities
Requirements:
High proficiency in MindBody Software, Zoom, G-suite. Computer skills & hardware knowledge of both Mac and PC. Outstanding customer service skills reflected both verbally and in writing. Friendly, welcoming, and professional.
2 complimentary classes per week + complimentary Sunday workshops taught by in-house Faculty at the Iyengar Institute. 30% off all new merchandise. NYPSL as outlined by state guidelines. Access to the Institute Library.
