Job Summary:

We are currently seeking an experienced Front Desk Manager for our busy nail studio at Hudson Yards. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our clients, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a seamless experience from start to finish. Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet clients with a warm and welcoming demeanor as they arrive at the studio.
  • Manage appointment bookings, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in scheduling.
  • Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and provide information about our services.
  • Process payments and handle cash transactions with precision.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization at the front desk area and throughout the studio.
  • Assist technicians with various tasks as needed.
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs to management.
  • Uphold studio policies and procedures to ensure a positive experience for all clients.
  • Handle escalations and troubleshoot all in‑studio issues (operational and people‑related).
  • Responsible for opening and closing procedures of the studio.
  • Recap and communicate Credit Tips to all nail specialists at the end of the evening.
  • Responsible for driving results to meet home studio sales goals.
  • Is the liaison between the nail tech and the leadership team.
  • Responsible for communicating updates to each technician.
  • Ability to coach team members on performance and behavior.
  • Responsible for implementing store policies and procedures, and enforcing consistent and timely execution of all systems in place.
  • Optimize scheduling to maximize booking and consistent completion of service steps and timing.
  • Responsible for ensuring the studio is clean and well‑maintained at all times.
  • Manage staff cleaning and sanitation process to ensure work areas are consistently cleaned and sanitized in accordance with management expectations and CDC guidelines.
  • Manage supply ordering process, ensuring order requests are made in advance to maintain a regular supply of products.
  • Advise new product suggestions including polish colors, maintain organized presentation/inventory of all supplies.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Highly organized and focused.
  • Good interpersonal skills/high emotional intelligence.
  • Client service oriented.
  • Prior experience working with booking software; Booker is a plus.
  • Prior experience at nail/spa/beauty or other salon preferred.
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
  • Applicants must also be punctual and should have a flexible schedule.
  • Must have a High School diploma. A Bachelor's degree is a plus.
  • Must have a minimum of 1‑3 years experience in customer service, spa, hospitality, sales and/or retail.
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the US.
  • Must have the ability to explain services in detail to clients.
  • Must have the ability to multitask, and work in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment, while maintaining professionalism.
  • Must have a flexible schedule, including days, nights, holidays, and weekends.
  • Must be organized, proactive, and possess a strong attention to detail.
  • Must be comfortable working in Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
  • Working with other passionate team members in the dynamic beauty and wellness industry.
