Job summary

Barbour Orthopaedics & Spine is seeking a Lead Front Desk Associate to lead the clinic's front-office operations and ensure exceptional patient care. You will supervise staff, train new hires, and standardize workflows while maintaining HIPAA-compliant records and accurate registrations.

The role focuses on improving scheduling efficiency, patient communication, and frontline service quality, with opportunities to drive projects and improve daily operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year supervising or leading employees (performance reviews, coaching, mentoring).
• Minimum of two years front desk/medical office or healthcare admin experience.
• Ability to train, coach, and mentor staff while upholding standards.
• Strong knowledge of front desk operations, patient registration, scheduling, insurance verification, and patient communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead front desk team and train staff on procedures and workflows.
• Assist with patient check-in/out and provide updates on scheduling conflicts or flow disruptions.
• Manage front desk processes and system updates (NexGen/Luma).
• Monitor registration files for demographic and insurance accuracy; ensure HIPAA compliance.
• Resolve patient complaints; escalate unresolved issues to BOM.
