Primary Health Care Centers is seeking a friendly Front Desk Floater (Patient Services Representative) based out of our OLR location, with regular travel to PHC clinic sites to provide front office coverage as needed. You will greet patients, answer phones, verify information, and maintain EMR records in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

The role requires flexibility to rotate locations, excellent customer service, and the ability to manage payments and scheduling while upholding HIPAA standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required or preferred.
• Experience in customer service or medical office is advantageous.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

Responsibilities

• Travel to PHC clinic locations to provide front office coverage as needed.
• Greet and assist patients and visitors professionally and compassionately.
• Answer and direct incoming phone calls.
• Schedule and reschedule patient appointments.
• Verify insurance, demographics, and registration information.
• Collect copays and outstanding balances.
• Maintain accurate EMR patient records.
• Balance daily receipts and prepare cash deposits.
• Assist with medication program applications and documentation.
• Answer basic billing questions and provide customer service.
• Maintain a clean, welcoming reception area.
• Cross-train in all front office functions and support clinic operations.
• Participate in HIPAA, OSHA, and Emergency Preparedness training.

Primary Health Care Centers is seeking a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused Front Desk Floater (Patient Services Representative) to join our team. This position is based out of our OLR location but requires regular travel to our various clinic locations to provide front office coverage as needed. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is flexible, enjoys variety in their workday, and thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

As a Front Desk Floater, you will provide exceptional customer service while assisting patients from check-in through check-out. You will rotate between clinic locations, providing coverage during vacations, leaves of absence, staffing shortages, and other operational needs to help ensure seamless patient care.

What You'll Do

• Travel to various PHC clinic locations to provide front office coverage as needed.

• Participate in required HIPAA, OSHA, and Emergency Preparedness training.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support clinic operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous customer service or medical office experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Basic computer skills and the ability to learn electronic medical record systems (EMR).
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
• Must have reliable transportation and be willing to travel between PHC clinic locations on a regular basis.
• Dependable, flexible, and able to adapt to changing work locations and staffing needs.
