Half Day on Fridays and Excellent Benefits!

Under di r ect supervision of the Reception Lead, assist the dentist, r egiste r ed dental hygienist, and dental assistants to schedule and coo r dinate quality dental ca r e to patients, and to help o rganize the daily operations of a dental clinic to operate in an e ? cient, cost e ? ective, and p r oductive manner.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • G r eet patients; face to face and, o r , over the phone
  • Answer phone calls, manage messages, and distribute triage messages app r opriately to dental assistants, and/or p r oviders
  • Register new and cur r ent patients in compliance with o ? ce p r otocol
  • Help patients fill out all necessary paperwork and documentation to be seen at dental clinic
  • Update patient information, dental insurance, and income verification for sliding fee
  • Inform patients of policies about dental p r ocedu r es, financial ag r eement, ta r diness, cancellation of less than 24 hours, and no shows
  • Manage patient r eco rds in a secu r ed and confidential manner in compliance with HIP P A
  • Schedule dental appointments in r respect to established schedule templates for p r oviders
  • Confirm upcoming appointments, and fill in cancellations and no shows
  • Coo r dinate r eferrals to ensu r e patients r eceive r ecommended ca r e with specialists
  • Coo r dinate lab cases to dental lab(s) in an app r opriate time and manner
  • Collect and arrange patient payments
  • Assist business manager and dental di r ector to captu r e annual visits and payments/ r eimbursements in a timely fashion
  • Coo r dinate p r oviders’ schedules to maximize quality ca r e for patients to finish needed dental t r eatment in a timely manner
  • T r eat patients with dignity and r espect.
  • Maintain strict department securit y , confidentialit y , and quality to meet p r ofessional standa r ds of the department.

QUALIFICATIONS :

  • High School DIploma aor equivalent R
  • Minimum of 2 years of f r ont desk dental offi ce experience R
  • Knowledge of dental insurance/benefit verification and billing p r ocesses R
  • Knowledge of dental terminologies and dental p r ocedu r es R
  • Knowledge of patient evaluation and triage p r ocedu r es. R
  • Knowledge of planning and scheduling techniques. R
  • Knowledge of Federal, State, and institutional r egulations and guidelines for the p r ovision of dental outpatient services. P
  • Skill in operating business computers and o ? ce machines, including in a Windows envi r onment, specifically W o r d, Excel, Access, and p r esentation softwa r e (such as PowerPoint) and elect r onic dental r eco r ds softwa r e such as Dentrix. R
  • Ability to work as a team member within a clinical envi r onment and maintain p r ofessional r elationships with individuals of varying social and cultural backg r ounds and with co-workers at all levels. R
  • Ability to operate, maintain, and t r oubleshoots a wide range of dental softwa r e and equipment in acco r dance with p r escribed p r ocedu r es and standa r ds.P
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
  • Employee Health Labs (MMR, Varcilla, Hep B, and TB skin test (or QuantiFERON)
  • Annual and individual trainings
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to develop rapport and maintain positive relationships with a variety of patients, visitors, staff and providers.
  • Ability to understand and react with cultural sensitivity to client needs.
  • Bilingual preferred.
