Job description

We are looking for a responsible, energetic, and self-starter Front Desk Counselor to join our main campground. Reporting to the Front Desk Manager, the Front Desk Counselor is the main point of contact, greeting our campers and pet parents. Being a multi-tasker, service-oriented, and tech-savvy is crucial to succeeding in this role. This position involves sitting for long periods in front of a computer and exposure to animal hair, dander, and odors. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals, excellent communication skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with guests and pet parents.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for checking in and out of pets and pet parents.
  • Scheduling services and activities with pet parents.
  • Leading tours of Pet Camp facilities to pet parents.
  • Always maintaining the front desk clean and presentable, including the retail area.
  • Ability to onboard new clients using web forms, text and phone inquiries, and walk-ins.
  • Opening and closing the lobby.
  • Data management.
  • Handling all client communications.
  • Extra tasks as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must have a working knowledge of dog handling.
  • Proven ability to multi-task.
  • Must be tech-savvy.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Interview

  • The interview will consist of two parts:
    • Phone interview.
    • In-person, communication skills, general office administration, and typing assessment.
