About Us

God’s Love We Deliver, a nonsectarian organization, is the New York metropolitan area’s leading provider of life-sustaining meals and nutrition counseling for people living with severe illnesses. Begun as an HIV/AIDS service organization, today God’s Love provides for people living with more than 200 individual diagnoses. God’s Love cooks and home delivers the specific, nutritious meals a client’s severe illness and treatment so urgently require. Meals are individually tailored for each client by one of our Registered Dietitian Nutritionists, and clients have access to unlimited nutrition counseling. God’s Love supports families by providing meals for the children and senior caregivers of our clients. All of our services are provided free of charge to clients.

About the Role:

We seek a Front Desk Concierge to join our Office Administration Team. The Front Desk Concierge will be the first point of contact for volunteers, vendors, staff, and other guests entering our buildings; providing a welcoming and cheerful environment is a signature hallmark of God’s Love We Deliver. The Front Desk Concierge will verify all building access points are secure, and Fire Life Safety (FLS) rules and regulations are observed and maintained. This individual will work collaboratively with internal departments and external vendors to ensure smooth high-touch efficiency across the organization’s three locations (SoHo, Village, Brooklyn).

  • This position requires a 35-hour work week, with shifts scheduled between 5:30 a.m. and 9:00 p.m., Monday through Sunday. Flexibility in work hours and days is essential.

  • This is a Full-Time non-exempt position, paying $22.50-$25.00 hourly.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Greet all volunteers, vendors, staff, and other guests in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Assist Volunteer Services when needed to manage the volunteer check-in process efficiently, verify identification, and issuing access badges as needed.
  • Respond to volunteer inquiries timely, escalating to management if necessary.
  • Answer all internal incoming calls and general inquiries from the public. Screen and relay calls, voicemails, and faxes to appropriate staff members and departments.
  • Enforce God’s Love rules, access control procedures, and visitor policies.
  • Respond to emergencies and incidents calmly and effectively, notifying appropriate authorities as necessary.
  • Assist with mail services: sort incoming mail, processing outgoing mail. Utilize postage machine and coordinate messenger and express service shipments.
  • Demonstrate critical thinking and problem-solving skills by applying best judgment in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Other duties as assigned.
About You:

You are highly self-motivated and empathetic, with a strong desire to support our mission helping clients living with a serious illness. You are looking for a collaborative, team-oriented environment, and you are energized by working in a fast-paced environment requiring you to frequently exercise your strong guest relations skills.

In addition, you meet the following requirements:

  • High school diploma and/or equivalent work experience.
  • 3+ years of work experience in Front Desk / Reception, Customer Services and/or Guest Services.
  • Security Guard experience a plus.
  • First Aid, AED Training a plus
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Strong speaking and written communication skills.
  • Bilingual is a plus.
  • Friendly and upbeat, with strong guest relations skills.
  • Ability to organize, manage and complete multiple tasks and priorities in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information, and use good judgment, diplomacy, and discretion in carrying out your job responsibilities.
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
