Job summary

Delaware North at Wuksachi Lodge in Sequoia National Park is seeking a customer-service focused Front Desk Clerk and Night Auditor for seasonal, overnight roles. You will manage night audit tasks, guest check-in/out, room rate quotes, and cash handling with attention to accuracy and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Experience in cash handling is required.
• Experience in customer service is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Run night audit functions, reconcile credit card payments, input sales and folio details.
• Review deposits, check guests in and out efficiently.
• Quote room rates and post charges to in-house accounts.
• Complete shift closing, drop cash and checks, and secure the bank.
• Maintain accurate front office paperwork and daily figures.
• Balance daily figures and post room and tax charges.

Pay

$17.50 - $17.50 / hour

What will you do?

• Run night audit function, reconcile credit card payments, input sales and manual sales sheets, understand guest folio, explanation of billing and how to make any needed corrections
• Review pending advance deposits and charges, check guests in and out of the hotel efficiently
• Quote room rates and room package information, post charges for in-house accounts
• Complete shift closing, drop cash and check payments, securing the bank at all times and follow proper cash handling policies
• Cash handling and accountability; maintain accurate paperwork as it relates to front office operations
• Check and balance the daily figures, post room and tax charges on guest accounts

More About You

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Available to work two overnight shifts and three day or evening shifts each week
• Previous experience in cash handling
• Previous experience in customer service environment is beneficial
• Good communication skills; ability to communicate with guests and team members
• Basic math skills; ability to accurately handle money and count change
• Experience using Microsoft Excel
• No high school diploma or GED required
